Cobalt, citrus, and the Burrard Bridge. A Mediterranean love story, made in Vancouver.

A Mediterranean table, built on a Vancouver waterfront.

The concept was built around a specific visual signature: the cobalt blue, sun-warmed citrus, and hand-painted ceramic patterns of a Mediterranean table — transported to a waterfront room in Vancouver with the Burrard Bridge framed in the windows behind it.

Tap & Barrel • Bridges on Granville Island was chosen deliberately. Its floor-to-ceiling windows, warm wood framing, and unobstructed water views gave the shoot a light quality no interior-only venue could offer. The Old World came inside and sat down at the table. WedLuxe published it.

Fifteen vendors, one Old World vision.

We developed the full creative concept — cobalt blue glassware, blue-and-white Italian ceramic vessels, citrus table dressing, lace and stone textures, and warm peach and orange florals — then selected and directed the styling of the venue at Tap & Barrel • Bridges, chosen for its waterfront light and sweeping views of False Creek and the Burrard Bridge.

From there, we curated and coordinated a team of 15+ creative contributors spanning fashion, florals, cake, stationery, décor, jewellery, hair, makeup, and models, managing the full shoot day — the sweetheart table, couple portrait scenes, and flat-lay place setting detail — through to submission and publication on WedLuxe.com.

Fifteen beautiful things, all belonging to the same world.

The table told the whole story before anyone sat down at it. Blue-and-white Italian ceramic vessels, cobalt goblets, gold-rimmed chargers, fresh citrus halved and scattered across the cloth, hand-lettered place cards from Making Memories Stationery — every detail was chosen to feel gathered over time rather than ordered from a supplier. Ruffled Rose's florals did the same thing: loose, warm, abundant arrangements in peach and amber and yellow. The Burrard Bridge outside the window was the only thing that said Vancouver.

The fashion carried equal weight. The bride's Bisou Bridal lace gown — long-sleeved, open-backed, intricately appliqued — is the kind of dress that earns its own photograph. The groom's light blue Emil Clothing Co. suit, paired with a cobalt-stripe tie, held the colour story on his side of the table without competing with the bridal look.

The wide tablescape shot is the one that shows the whole vision at once: vineyard chairs, floor-to-ceiling wooden windows, the long linen table dressed end to end with florals, ceramics, candles, and fruit, the harbour light coming through behind it. That image earned the WedLuxe feature. It's not one beautiful thing — it's fifteen beautiful things, all belonging to the same world.
